When Rocks Tell Their Stories
Makkah
Among the corridors of science and knowledge at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, the Faculty of Earth Sciences Museum serves as a testament to the diverse and abundant of geological formations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The museum has been established on the ground floor of the faculty to function as a scientific and educational facility, housing carefully selected models from the Kingdom's rocky landscape that illustrate the geological diversity of the Kingdom's terrain.
Alongside the displayed specimens, the museum features a collection of captured photographs that illuminate aspects of the rocky landscape in the Kingdom through a scientific documentary lens, revealing fine details and enriching the visitor's vision.
While viewing these exhibits and photographs, the visitor engages with the memory of their land, where rocks transform from static formations into speaking testimonials of a rich natural history.
