Saqr Aljazeera Aviation Museum displays the evolutionary history of the Royal Saudi Air Force through rare documents and genuine aircraft in display. It provides visitors with a comprehensive educational experience inside its exhibition halls and open-air courtyards.

Located at the Riyadh Air Base, northeast of Riyadh city, and affiliated with the Royal Saudi Air Force - Ministry of Defense and Aviation, Saqr Aljazeera Aviation Museum was established on the occasion of the Kingdom's celebrations of the centennial of the capture of Riyadh, on the 6th of Shawwal 1319 AH / 1901 CE.

This museum represents an important landmark for introducing the history of aviation in the Kingdom. It is a towering edifice and a prominent symbol in Riyadh city, narrating the story of aviation and the historical development of the Royal Saudi Air Force over seventy-five years since its inception by the late King Abdulaziz, may Allah have mercy on him. It documents this through actual aircraft, aircraft models, photographs, and documents.

The museum was inaugurated as part of the Kingdom's centennial celebrations of the capture of Riyadh, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz - the Crown Prince at the time – on Sunday, 7th Shawwal 1419 AH, corresponding to 4th January 1999 CE.

The museum distinguishes itself by a rich and integrated experience that takes the visitor on an enjoyable journey through time, as it contains exhibits, references, and documents that empower visitors to trace the Air Force's historical development, and how it evolved from a handful of aircraft to hundreds of the world's most modern and powerful planes.

While wandering through the museum's corridors, the visitor encounters a comprehensive knowledge experience that documents important milestones in Saudi military aviation history. It includes several indoor exhibition halls with ancient and modern aircraft and weapons. Additionally, The space corner features a space journey simulator alongside computer devices delivering aircraft information to visitors.

The documentary film screening booth is considered one of the museum's most prominent sections, as it presents historical information to visitors in a distinctive visual style. The museum's open-air courtyards showcase full-sized aircraft alongside an array of large-scale equipment.

Prominent among the exhibits is a miniature model of the museum, illustrating the supplementary future phases, which include the construction of a mosque, a conference hall, exhibition halls, a cultural center equipped with a 3D display screen, a library, an educational center, and a maintenance center for the aircraft and equipment displayed at the museum, reflecting a clear vision for developing this historical edifice in line with the requirements of continuous renewal and meeting visitors' aspirations.
