Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Museum for Antiquities and Popular Heritage is located near the Prophet’s Mosque. It features exhibits that vividly narrate the city's ancient history and heritage, including diverse sections such as the Antiquities Section, the Railway Section, King Abdulaziz Hall, the traditional Majlis, and the Cultural Theater.

Nestled in Bab Al-Anbariya Square within the historic train station building—overlooking Omar bin Al-Khattab Street from the north—this museum lies just one kilometer from the Prophet’s Holy Mosque in Madinah. Its prime position infuses it with profound significance, placing it at the pulsing heart of the city's spiritual and cultural life.

Established in a section of the main building of the Madinah Railway facilities, after the Department of Antiquities and Museums, affiliated with the Ministry of Education, , in cooperation with the Emirate of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah and the private sector, restored, furnished, and equipped it. It was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdulaziz, the late Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Region, marking the culmination of collaborative endeavors to preserve and highlight heritage for future generations.

The Department of Antiquities and Museums is currently completing final preparations and arrangements, paving the way for the museum’s opening to the public and specialists alike.

Inside this Museum, visitors encounter a rich array of archaeological artifacts dating back to different historical periods, complemented by traditional heritage items and a model of the traditional Majlis (sitting room) of Al-Madinah. This immersive setup grants the visitor an opportunity to move between eras and explore the features of authentic Madinan life.

The museum consists of the following sections:

• An Antiquities Section in the main building consists of two floors, serving as an open gateway to the city's storied past.

• King Abdulaziz Section (Hall) chronicles the Founding King's journey through evocative photographs.

• The Railway Section represents a living memory of the development of transportation means in the Hijaz.

• Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Heritage Section illuminates myriad facets of the heritage of the people of Madinah.

• The Tourism Publications Office serves as an informational and guiding resource for visitors and interested parties.

• An Open Amphitheater is a dynamic venue for cultural performances and events.
