Al-Tayebat City Museum for International Civilizations
Makkah
A Civilizational Narrative Blending Heritage and Education
Makkah
Situated in Jeddah, specifically on Al-Sitteen Street, opposite Al-Falak Roundabout in Al-Faisaliyah district, Al-Tayebat City Museum for International Civilizations was established by Mr. Abdul Raouf Hassan Khalil to shed light on the authenticity of the past and the multiplicity of cultures across the ages.
Visitors traversing its corridors encounter five principal halls: the Islamic Civilization Hall, the Saudi Heritage Hall which highlights various cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the History and Civilization of the Arabian Peninsula Hall, the Traditional and Modern Crafts Hall, and the King Abdulaziz Wing (may God have mercy on him). Each hall unveils narratives reflecting profound facets of human identity, history, and culture across the ages.
The museum's role is not limited to visual display; its ground floor includes a school for memorizing the Holy Quran, a mosque, and shops dedicated to teaching sewing, creating an integrated picture— crafting an integrated tableau that weaves heritage with education and development, linking bygone eras to contemporary vitality.
