Wadi Liyyah Dam, located southwest of Taif, is an embankment dam that contributes to protecting villages and farms and regulating valley waters. It reaches a height of 40 meters with a storage capacity of 10 million cubic meters, reflecting its structural value and water importance.

Wadi Liyyah Dam, situated 11 km southwest of Taif, represents one of the most prominent projects reflecting the commitment to water resource management.

It is an embankment (rock-fill) dam, constructed to protect the downstream areas, which include villages, farms, and various agricultural projects.

The dam also systematically regulates water discharge through Wadi Liyyah, thereby ensuring the prevention of damage and soil erosion affecting agricultural lands.

Additionally, It facilitates the recharge of groundwater, thereby raising the water table of the valley’s wells, maintaining water balance and ensuring the sustainability of agricultural activities.

The dam stands 40 meters high and 190 meters long, with a storage capacity of 10 million cubic meters.
