Shamsan Castle was erected in 1331 AH, after Commander Muhiuddin Pasha recognized the vulnerability of the Ottoman defenses in the northeastern district of Abha City.

Its construction came in response to his observation that Ottoman fortifications in the northeastern part of Abha had become weakened.</p></td></tr></tbody></table>

A Landmark from the Memory of Ancient Abha

Bay'at al-Ridwan Mosque is located in Al-Hudaybiyah, Makkah. It is associated with the site where the Companions pledged allegiance to the Prophet (PBUH) shortly before the conclusion of the Treaty of al-Hudaybiyah. Parts of this archaeological mosque remain standing to the present day

Al-Fath Mosques in Madinah are historical landmarks associated with the Battle of the Confederates (Al-Ahzab) and the prayers of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) during that battle. They were built during the era of Umar bin Abdulaziz and are located northwest of Mount Sela.

 Ikrimah Dam, located in Wadi al-Mathnah in Taif, is traditionally attributed to Ikrimah, the freedman of the Companion Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them).
It is a masonry-faced concrete dam, constructed to bolster water sources and safeguard the city of Taif against flash floods.

Al-Qusayba Dam is a water structure from the Umayyad era, located southeast of Taif. It was built with two walls, with the space between them packed with stones
It is 67 meters long and 12 meters high.


Al-Qusayba Dam

: Aris Well, famously known as the Ring Well, is a historical landmark located west of the Quba Mosque. Its story is linked to the Prophet's (PBUH) ring falling into it from the hand of Caliph Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him). Today, it is part of the mosque's expansion.

Al-Qadeer site in southern Sakaka includes an ancient stone building, a well surrounded by stone foundations, Thamudic inscriptions, and ancient Islamic writings. These indicate that this site may have been located on one of the ancient caravan routes.

Al-Shuhada Cemetery in Taif contains the graves of a number of Companions who were martyred in the Battle of Taif. Located beside the Abdullah ibn Abbas Mosque, it has been enclosed by a modern wall to preserve its status and sanctity.

Quba Mosque is regarded as the first mosque built in Islam. It was established by the Prophet (PBUH) immediately upon his arrival in Quba. Since its foundation, it has received sustained care from Muslims; it was renovated during the reign of King Faysal—may Allah have mercy on him—bringing its total area to 1,440 m², and its most extensive expansions were carried out during the reign of King Fahd bin Abd al-Aziz—may Allah have mercy on him.
