A Facility for Supporting Water Resources and Regulating Flash Floods in Taif

Ikrimah Dam, located in Wadi al-Mathnah in Taif, is traditionally attributed to Ikrimah, the freedman of the Companion Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them).
It is a masonry-faced concrete dam, constructed to bolster water sources and safeguard the city of Taif against flash floods.
Ikrimah Dam, situated in the upper reaches of Wadi al-Mathnah in Taif Governorate, is attributed to Ikrimah, the client of the noble Companion Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them).
The structure is a masonry-faced concrete dam, measuring 290 meters in length and 11 meters in height, with a storage capacity estimated at 500,000 cubic meters.
The dam was constructed to protect the city of Taif from flash-flood hazards, while also enhancing water security and strengthening local water resources.
