The AlUla Oasis embraces an ancient civilized heritage that includes prominent archaeological sites such as Dadan, Al-Hijr, and Jabal Ikmah, and more than one hundred historical sites reflecting the succession of civilizations in the Valley of Qura northwest of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah.

AlUla Oasis is located in the heart of Wadi Al-Qura, about 370 kilometers northwest of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah. It is surrounded by mountain ranges from the east and west, which gives it a distinctive geographical character. AlUla is home to an ancient, civilized heritage, manifested in many prominent archaeological sites such as Dadan (Al-Khuraybah), Al-Hijr (Madain Saleh), Umm Al-Daraj, Al-Mabiyat, and Khayf Al-Zahrah, in addition to mountains rich in rock inscriptions like Jabal Ikmah and Jabal Al-Ruzayqiyyah. It also includes more than 108 registered archaeological sites, including Danan, Wadi Sadr, Al-Muzahim, Al-Shuqaimah, Jubb Al-Khuwayrah, and other landmarks that narrate chapters of the region's history.
