Dahl Hit

A Rare Water Cave in the Heart of Al-Armah

Riyadh

Dahl Hit is a natural cave located southeast of Riyadh in Jabal Jubayl. It was famous for its fresh water, which served as a historical resource. Today, it houses an underground lake frequented by adventure and diving enthusiasts.

Dahl Hit is situated in Jabal Jubayl, a natural extension of the Al-Armah Escarpment to the south, located to the left of the railway line originating from Riyadh.

In the past, Dahl (Cave) was an important water resource, as it was filled with natural groundwater. However, with increased drawing from the water reserves, the water gradually receded, revealing a vast cave that culminates in an underground lake in its depths.

Dahl Hit is considered one of the most prominent natural caves in the Kingdom. Throughout history, it served as a station for travelers and residents who relied on its water. Today, it has become a destination for nature and adventure lovers, especially diving enthusiasts who visit its unique lake.

Its geological nature and unique location give it tourist and scientific value, as it represents an example of karst cave formations associated with the aqueous dissolution of rocks.
